I think a few people are confused about the process here.

On this site, I am the lead moderator. There are a few other mods who watch the free boards, but they are not site staff; they are just mods.

Ryan Donnelly and Matt Steinbrink and anyone else who is site staff - they are not tasked with moderating the boards. So if you have an issue with the moderation of this site. my email address is in every one of my posts and I can be reached via private message.

Your concerns should be addressed to me; I am accountable for all deleted posts and decisions to blacklist, and if you feel like something should change, I'm the only one who will make those changes.

Chris, I have received private messages from people on the past and have been able to respond but have never been able to find where I can initiate a PM. Is that because I'm on a mobile device? I never use a laptop.

Don't have anything I want/need to send you, just seemed like a good time to ask.

Additionally I don't ever see your email on your posts. Is that a mobile issue as well?

Yeah the email address won't show up on the app.

You can initiate a private message if you click on someone's username and then click "Start a Conversation."

Ok thanks. To be clear I'm not using an app. I have the web site bookmarked.

That PM doesn't appear for me so I guess that's a mobile issue as well.

I think you could have just posted: I'm your huckleberry (Tombstone reference) and been done.

You do a great job of keeping the boards clean Chris. I left reading other boards because of all the garbage.

I think the moderators do a great job here. I have no problem with him whatsoever.

As for the Tombstone thing, great movie!

However, if you ever actually read about Wyatt Earp, he was basically a huckster who completely revised history to make himself into being something very different than what he actually was. He was essentially a career criminal but also a very good storyteller and a showman.

Really, it was his common-law wife, Josephine who was the whitewashing huckster (and a gambling addict) but that's a completely different story.

He sold his stories about life on the American frontier to the movie public and we gullibly bought it. Now, he is remembered as one of the great American lawmen and that's an absolutely ridiculous characterization of his actual life and career.

He really wasn't much different than Wild Bill Hickok or Annie Oakley.

I like Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. If you rely on Hollywood for any historically accurate depiction you're barking up the wrong tree.

That is definitely true but the story of Wyatt Earp is a particularly egregious example of it. More than anything, it teaches us a lot about the power of propaganda.

He has....but not anymore. I don't blame him but there is easy infiltration on this site that needs to be corrected or....

Why Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave.

Oh, make no mistake. It's not revenge he's after. It's a reckoning.
