So, with TCU not looking like a winning team today, who gets the fourth playoff spot?

one of the tv experts said TCU still gets in. Alabama is next highest rated.

There is no such thing as a tv expert, these guys are almost universally uninformed. Your average fan knows as much or more than these media guys.

If Clemson and K state and Michigan win, the 4 teams will be Georgia, Michigan, Clemson and Ohio st. If TCU wins they are in and Clemson or Ohio st is out

So has anyone thought about this? If teams are already set as many predict (Ga, Mich, TCU, OSU) what if LSU pulls the upset and Harbaugh's boys suffer from post Ohio St hangover and lose? 4 teams off losses, none of which are conference champions in the final four???? Not saying I agree or disagree but.....would be very weird!

Heading into this week the only teams you could bet on to win the national championship in NV were Georgia, Michigan, USC, Ohio St, TCU, and Alabama. Everyone else was off the board as having no chance.

Amazing how many TCU games this season have been so similar to this one.

I think this is at least the third time this season I've bet against them due to the law of averages.

Duggan ends up looking like a character from the freaking Iliad and the Odyssey every game.

Really wish I'd have taken Hacksaw Max Duggan to win the Heisman last week. Just last week I wanna say it was +2500. Still probably goes to Williams if they lose today, though.

It's not even a question. Alabama does not have any good wins. And if TCU loses, Kansas State finishes like, what, 7th? TCU will also have a win over them.

It's not that they wouldn't deserve it, but selection committee will probably select Bama because.... Bama.

This.

Bama's best wins are Ole Miss, Miss State, and a Texas team that TCU defeated by a larger margin. Bama has 2 losses and didn't qualify for their championship game. It shouldn't even be a discussion at this point. Bama doesn't have a leg to stand on.

I hope this happens just so we can all settle this debate. But if TCU wins, here's how it would go:

1) Somebody from the committee will be interviewed and say that TCU would have been in even with a close loss.

2) Everybody who doesn't want to believe that statement will choose not to and insist he's lying and that Bama would have made it.

I sure hope so. I threw a few bucks on him yesterday as a long shot.
Out of curiosity what number did you get? Saw a few books here that had Williams as a 1/20 favorite before last nights game, no one reopened odds this morning.

25-1
3rd Q of USC game

I don't know why the heck I didn't take it last week (same odds). I mean, you had to think he'd be the favorite - or at least a solid possibility - if they won a game they were favored in and USC lost a game they were only favored in by a field goal. Not all that far-fetched at all.
