Zack Williams and Henry Miller both soft verbals and both from Florida. Both to Miami?

I'm not sure what your seeing from Zac Williams but from all indications he's pretty solid with Pitt. Miller nothing has changed but he's considering both Pitt & Miami. Who knows about Hamlin

Silent commits, soft verbals, verbal commitment, loi, shouldn't someone with more than half a brain streamline this recruiting commitment process and make it more binary. Simplying the process would benefit most of the recruits and U's.

For example:
I like the U- good we want you-great where do I sign!

The way it exists today its hard to plan a course of action unless you're one of the Top 10 U's who probably won't lose anyone in the last days or hours of the process.
Its possible that some U's could lose key recruits coming down to the wire with no chance to replace the lost players.
Make it more like buying a car rather than going to a pickup bar that closes at 2am waiting for the best available/offer! You might not end up with Cinderella?

Why supposed adults generate stress in their lives over the day to day whims of 18 year olds is lost on me. Wake me up when it's over and I will root for the boys dressed in blue and gold come August.

Further, the people who tweet at these kids are REALLY FREAKIN CREEPY. Just stop it.

i hear ya king. i'm just not a fan of this. he still has a pitt visit on tap. even if he's going to pitt or psu, don't do it like this. drama drama drama. he has said before that he's playing with paris ford in college, time will tell.

I get what you're say but as the other poster said - he's a kid. As a mature (in some ways anyway haha) adult I agree. But I find it hard to be too hard on any of these kids. I've never been thru it but I would think the pressure, now more than ever, can be immense and overwhelming for these kids.

I think you guys need to relax a bit. I like following on Vuks site to see who the staff is recruiting and how things are going but it is what it is. Kids are gong to make decisions based on where they think they fit the best. From my perspective, its just good to see a staff that is being aggressive and knows how to play the recruiting game to maximize the level of talent that PItt can get at this point in time. Hopefully as the W/L record improves so will the quality of the talent that they get. Right now, it looks like this class will be pretty darn good considering this is his first year and recruiting relationships are built over the course of three or four years.

Cap pitt--Read somewhere that Williams was listed as a soft verbal on TOS because he planned a WVU visit but that visit was cancelled so that his soft verbal designation was no longer valid.

It is a shame these recruits hold the coaches and program hostage until the very last minute of signing. For one minute I cannot believe their decision comes down to the final day and hour. Very seldom this happens and most kids have their mind made up several days to weeks prior to final signing day. This way of thinking really sucks and hurts the program because the coaches getting down to final scholarships have no way to counter offer your scholarship to somebody else if recruit decides on another school. In Hamlin case it's nice for his own self attention but in reality hurts the program. Coaches can't be happy with this way of handling business.

add pine to your list. and what is up with hamlin last night?

Pine was supposedly flirting with another offer but then was reaffirmed as solid after an in-home but now he is supposedly visiting 3 more schools before LOI day. Guess the kid is just uncertain about his decision.

I would rather the young man be 100% sure than have him regret the decision come August. I am a proponent of early signing with an out if the school coach quits or is fired. I'm sure Jim Harbaugh is glad he doesn't have an early signing period.

He's trolling them... He's trying to build up the drama for his big announcement on KDKA, when he says "Pitt is it!"
He's trolling everyone. I would say that posting himself in a PSU uniform a week before he announces is nothing more than a stunt to get people from Pitt and PSU agitated. He wouldn't tip his hand in that fashion, it's no different than a digital version of the tired old hat swap trick at the announcement presser, which I'm sure he'll do as well. He's just enjoying all the attention, which I personally am not a fan of, but we see it all the time now. That's the problem with social media.

That's disappointing, seeing as how Pine has been selling Pitt to other potential recruits and has already established himself as a leader in this recruiting class. Hopefully nothing more than a kid enjoying his last opportunity to see some other places and get his ass kissed before signing his Pitt LOI.

This is the only power these kids have. All power after this goes to the school and HC. It is immature and I don't much like it but they are kids and what can you do. How do the kids feel that lose their offer close to signing time like what is going on at Michigan or when a kid gets pushed out by oversigning on LOI day...it goes both ways and we can't begrudge the kids for having some fun.

Scout has Pitt commitment list has both Miller and Williams as soft verbals, and they also have Alex Kessman as a Pitt commit a kicker, this is just stuff I'm reading on their site but we will know on feb 3

Maybe the coach was informed awhile ago about his commitment and everyone else kept in the dark until he decides to make it public.
