This is a pathetic effort. Even worse than UL. This team is incredibly soft. Too much ole defense and way too much 1 on 1 offense. This team looks to be in major trouble the rest of the year.

Correct and let's not forget, this is largely the same group that mailed in the last 5 games of the season last year. This team is very easy to "break". They do not handle adversity well at all.
What I noticed was that NCState put it to them ( PITT) early with hard fouls and tough D and we just folded. Hard to believe this team was looking good and NCState is what a 10-8 team? Wow!
They've looked soft from the first game of the season. Their forwards are finesse players and their 5's are below average. Beyond the issue of toughness though, the guard play at times is abysmal which was the situation last year too. Very disappointing.

So what the heck does he bring? Soft as Charmin guys and a point guard whom my mother could outrun?
It does seem evident in terms of toughness not 1 of these guys could have made the roster of those hard nosed punch you in the mouth squads we had. This team can be bullied it seems to a man.
Did Barton recruit James? Also, I think it's telling that your mother could outrun him, but not you.
To be fair, in some ways I think Artis' is kind of symbolic of the overall problems with this team. Good offensively, mostly reliant on jump-shot, can't defend worth a lick.
Agree--just posted same in a thread above. And it starts with our senior leader at PG.
