fg's, 58% on 3's, and
90% from the line. It's
hard to lose when you're
hitting like that. Rebounds
were similar. Only area
that was bad was Assist
to TO ratio, All except for
Femi had a negative ratio.
Team was a bad 12/18.

That's usually a killer, but
not when you shoot like
we did tonight.

Yes the the shooting was outstanding! Especially in the 1H when Pitt grabbed the big lead.

But the lack of skilled ball handling at G remains a big drawback for this team. Too many loose handles results in too many turnovers. Pitt had 18 turnovers tonight. UNC had 11 steals. Those live ball turnovers are killers. Gotta be addressed through recruiting.

yes by Horton rest of the team was 5-12 so the reason this team is playing much better is because he creates spacing with his shooting so the rest of the team can play to there strengths. Nike would be another Rotational player that would give us a 6*5 athlete that can shoot and get to the rim and score instead of jefferson none existence butt. This team was always better than people gave them credit for. With Nike And Horton your looking at over 72 points a game as a team instead of 59 or whatever it is with out them. I believe with these 2 all yr this would be a different team like the one we're seeing now. HTP HTP

Yep. But it’s why you need quality depth. An injury. An off court situation. The season got derailed. The margin for error was still going to be pretty small even with IH and NS. Without them? Well, it wasn’t pretty a lot of times. But yes, agree with you that Pitt would be better Had Pitt had those 2 all season.

There is a LOT of work to be done in recruiting. And it will have to be done quickly to get a group that can be 8 or so deep with quality players to compete in the ACC for 22-23.

Can Pitt do it? Still very much up in the air and TBD. But it’s absolutely essential.
