In today’s briefing. Regarding the US, stark contrast between NY/NJ vs the other 48 states + DC.
Agreed - it is good for all the visual learners out there.
Yours truly posted the same data here on Sunday. The data can be downloaded from the politico site
Thanks. Her 50!state slide is one that I’d like to see daily.
yeah I was too lazy to do all of them so I just plotted NJ NY Ca FL Ga an MI
none of them look like NY or NJ in terms of number of cars or deaths.
it’s pretty easy to download from the political site. But you have to create a pivot table and then create the plots. I’ll do it again in another day or two.
OGNB gets the credit for putting the plots on line here. I didn’t have the internet savvy to do that
I’ve seen tons of slides/plots from numerous sites and posters. Thought she put up a few different ones and also more up to date. The ones fir all the states were informative although we already knew the just if the message conveyed in them.
And then she had some informative ones on the projected death rates with the confidence band around them which hopefully illustrated for many the degree of uncertainty associated with them.
And lastly, today’s briefing had some good Q&A at the end. The one guy asking what might have been if he/we might have acted on things a couple weeks earlier, but actually asking it in a non-combative diplomatic way, led to some good discussions even if Trump didn’t directly answer it.
yeah clearly I didn’t have the model data but the number of positive cases and deaths' each day is actually more informative than the models as it clear shows NY and NJ are outliers
I thought it was a very long but productive presser/QnA .
President and Acosta actually were civil . Thank Christ .
