Dixon mentioned the defense several times after the game, but the shooting has been atrocious. I understand that there were less possessions and the game was slow. But you only give up 64. This team is deflated when they aren't making shots.

Robinson since January 9th
18-68 from the floor, 26%

Jones since January 14th
5-22 from the floor, 23% 1-11 from three

There are a lot of issues on this team, but I am not sure that I understand some of the rotations. For example, not sure how Chris Jones plays ahead of Cameron Johnson. There are a lot of holes in Cam's game still, but the potential of these two is not even in the same stratosphere. Cam has made 21 threes in 198 minutes, while Chris has made 13 in 353 minutes. Chris brings nothing else to the game either. This is a kid that I could see getting set up for a graduate transfer to a much smaller school.

I also think it is time to play Luther ahead of Maia and Nelson-Ododa. Not one of the three is a good post defender, but at least Ryan is young and offers some offensive upside. He is going to make mistakes and turn it over at times, but he is the only one that has a chance to score.

Before garbage time today, Pitt's guards had 4 points I think. You win in college with guard play and Pitt's back court is really bad right now. This is a critical time for this program. If they lose the next two, they will be on the outside looking in without a quality win in the non-conference.
