Some things I think....

After watching Clemson game, which I thought was a decent chance at a victory, and sleeping on the disappointment, here are some thoughts for those that care to read:

1) Freshmen seem to be hitting a wall. Some unproductive times can do that to you. I noticed some negative body language due to frustration, which didn't seem apparent previously. They've tacked on some big minutes in an intense, pressure defense. Hope it doesn't cause them to wear down as season progresses.
2) Trey and X can shoot the 3. I would like them to look for it more, instead of forcing penetration. Opponents are gameplanning for their 'hoop attack'. They are getting less effective and drawing more charges and less FTs.
3) The zone is active and somewhat effective, but poor in rebounding. I realize it is a necessity, and protects foul trouble, but teams are just running to the off. boards against it.
4) JWF is hitting some 3s, which are a big help to the others, but he has really been an emotional stabilizer on the court. Kudos to JWF, especially after a frustrating few games, in which he was getting more bench time.
5) I really like how Kham Davis plays. Energy plus. Good defender and surprisingly good rebounder for size. Can hit 3s too. If he improves offensive skills, he can have a bigger impact down the line.
6) Don't know what has happened to Ellison. Playing with no confidence. Plays hard, but is a walking TO, and poor shooter. Just thought he would be a necessary big gun this year.
7) Terrell played 4 min. last night. IMO, he needs to play, especially against the good big men. Yes, I know he has an inconsistent motor, but if JC doesn't get the 'big' recruits he wants, TB will be a deciding factor to next year's success or lack of it. Play to win, but was he that much a negative factor last night? Experience can be a big help to him.
8) Hope Toney is ready for Syracuse. They need his energy, defense, and rebounding. A few points will help too.
9) Some winnable games coming up soon. Need to get back on track for confidence and mental health.
10) Praying for some good fortune with these undecided recruits. Will make a difference for team and fans next year.
