Right, I’m not upset about their response pro Dixon, but don’t tell me that the Pitt fan base is bad because of how some people feel about Dixon, and that Pitt should remain bad because of it, and that would serve us right, that’s insane. And nobody here is saying Dixon was a bad coach, on the contrary, he was very good, but after joining the acc it was time to part ways, so he headed to his dream job

This! They way Dixon complained about the move to the ACC really soured my opinion of him.
But he only averaged 22/23 wins a year his last 5 years. Any coach could do that in the ACC. I bet Kevin Stallings and Jeff Capel could have done that…wait, never mind.

No, that's you who are blowing smoke. I'm not going to go into the details as they have been discussed here ad nauseum and in detail. If you haven't read them, that's on you. Just to point out one thing that you said that was wrong. Dixon DID NOT leave on his own, which is a common misconception. But in this day and age of misinformation, understandable.

He's never even advanced past his seed line other than beating an 8 as a 9 seed. Great regular season coach though and that's important
We can only pray that we see another dream season like that again. I mean, we can't even win as many basketball games as Bama wins football games anymore, even our own football team matches basketball now
Right. 8/9 games dont count for that. 9 seeds actually have a higher winning percentage over 8 seeds. I mean the guy has been to, what 15 NCAA Tournaments and never advanced past his seed line beyone the 8/9 game. That is basically impossible.

Read between the lines, nobody said Dixon wasn’t a good coach, in fact he was very good, until Pitt joined the acc where Dixon didn’t want to be, he said as much
Not to get in the middle of your guys pissing match but TCU was not his dream job. It was his alma mater If it was his dream job he wouldn't have gone after the UCLA job after his 2nd season there.
