He's obviously been really solid for Pitt although he has struggled the past 2 games.

But here are some concerning stats on him.

He has a 56 passing grade which is the 4th worst in the Power 4 and 133 in the country.

With him as QB there have been 14 turnover worthy plays which is tied for 3rd most in the Power 4.

He only has 5 interceptions though so he's been fortunate on some of those throws.

The OLine has allowed a pressure on nearly 1/3 plays of Holstein dropping back to pass which ranks 90th in the country.

Eli Holstein struggles under pressure. He has a 42.8 passing grade under pressure.

In non-conference games Pitt was averaging 3.84 points per drive, a 51.6% success rate, 17% explosive and they were scoring on 64.4% of their drives.

In Pitt's 3 conference games they are averaging 2.09 points per drive, a 40.2% success rate, explosives are down to 11.3% and they have only scored on 38.2% of their drives.

And by the way SMU has the 2nd best pressure rate in the country at 42.4%.

Bottom line we need him to play better for Pitt to win, let's hope he does. And hopefully the defense continues it's recent amazing turnaround.
