I was just re-reading that press release from Pitt about the additions of Rafael Araujo-Lopes, Dewayne Hendrix and Mark Scarpinato, and a quote caught my eye. About Scarpinato, Pat Narduzzi said:
"He has the mental and physical abilities to play both tackle and end for us."
I added the emphasis because I hadn't heard that Scarpinato could play end. We all know how Pitt needs help at defensive end, but I considered Scarpinato to be a tackle exclusively. If he can line up at both spots, that could really provide an added boost to the DEs. He will be even more interesting to watch this summer.
