If we win these next 2 home games......and I realize how difficult that will be to do........we will be in the discussion for the College Football Playoff. We would be 8-1, ranked around 12 or 13 in the CFP rankings and have 3 winnable games remaining. If we win those 3, we'd be 7 or 8 heading into Charlotte. Beat Clemson and we just might make the CFP.

Do I think this will happen? No way but its not totally impossible. I just like that we are theoretically still alive for a National Championship and its almost November.

This is the 3rd time I said it this year but I REALLY mean it this time.. If we can win 2 out of the next 3, i am ecstatic and thinking ACC Championship game.. Obviously the acc games are more important but even if we win against ND, and split duke and UNC, i am pumped.. We would be favorites against the Ville and Miami is a sinking ship and will have given up on their season by then... OK, one game at a time but..

Wonder if Miami will be the same kind of sinking ship as USC was last week. Sometimes the coach is the cancer.

Not a chance. Pitt will never be picked over any one loss team from the other leagues. They would take a 2 loss Bama team over Pitt. An incredible number of things would have to happen for Pitt to even be in the mix.

Honestly I would rather have Pitt on the outside bitching about not getting any respect and playing in a winnable bowl game and build momentum toward next season. Pitt isn't ready to play the top dogs yet. Maybe shorter than we all thought but no reason to end a great season by having your ass kicked by OSU Baylor etc.

The first playoff show on ESPN is after the UNC game. Win that game, and we'll be on the show. I'll be happy with even that. A win over Notre Dame the following week and we're not just in the discussion, we're the favorites to play Clemson (the favorites in the Atlantic) in the ACC Championship Game.
