Is this an SMF or Capel quote:

"Sometimes you get lucky with it. Sometimes you get guys that you don’t anticipate having the types of years that they had. The kid at Wake Forest, Alondes Williams, is a perfect example of that. He’s as good a player as we have in our league, and I don’t think Steve or anyone on their staff expected that. I think they expected him to be good, but not to come in and be one of the frontrunners for player of the year in our league."

This is 100% correct. Forbes did not recruit a bench transfer from OU as a possible ACC POY. He thought he could be a solid starter and got lucky as shit with it. Just as Capel did with Gueye. Luck plays a HUGE role in recruiting.

You’re like Mike McDermott’s girlfriend in Rounders. Why do the same 5 people make the World Series of poker every year? What are they the luckiest guys in Vegas?

Do you think Forbes envisioned a bench guy at OU as a potential ACC POY?

Do you think Capel envisioned Gueye as a 2-way deal type player?

Gueye isn’t that, he’s been great. But the quote, coming from him or you, is stupid. He should be taking credit for his superior development and eye for talent instead of saying it’s luck

Gueye needs to bulk up a lot to get a two way.

But he is either on or off

Either way he's gonna get paid in Europe.
Just like hugs

Fairly sure I can bench more than Kevin Durant - but that doesn’t matter

Gueye’s future depends on improving his handle far more than bulking up

Gueye would make far more in Europe than Hugley. Gueye has Sengalese citizenship so wouldn't count as an American. Very tough for Americans to make good money in Europe. Their spots are literally limited.
