Karl will have much more on this but in case you missed it - Pat Narduzzi said the spring game won't be live and full contact. Instead it will be "thud" which I am sure will make everyone happy. Thud means nobody will hit the ground, theoretically, and that means the practice will feel almost like a walkthrough.
I don't know about you but I have always believed that thud is more dangerous than actual live hitting. I think when you are going 3/4 speed and trying to avoid contact you see weird injuries and whatnot. Also, if there is not going to be live tackling and hitting, it will be hard to figure out who is doing what
