competitive in the ACC this year than any of us thought a few weeks ago.

Combination of pitt being better than expected and ACC not as strong as expected.

I am thinking we will not get embarrassed at Louisville like prior years. If I am Capel, I start Toney on Nwora

Am I just wearing rose colored glasses ?

I think L’Ville wins big, but quite a few teams have come back to the middle of the pack which will give us a better chance at winning more games.

Agree we'll be more competitive, but don't think Louisville will be the game we show it.

The ACC is certainly down this year. For instance, Cole Anthony is a good player but he's not Zion or even RJ Barrett. The middle of the conference is softer too. We're going to lose some games to bad teams, but we're going to beat some NC State level teams we may not have expected.

No, I don’t think it’s just rose colored glasses. I was very encouraged last night by how much better X played last night. He is the key.

Virginia scored 17 points in the 1st half to a 3 loss Purdue team and 23 in the 2nd half en route to a 29 point ass kicking.
Duke lost at home to Whatsamatta U, Syracuse can't beat its own meat, Wake needs a wake, we beat FSU already.
If we can get healthy and stay healthy, we could finish as high as 5th.

Duke beat Kansas and Michigan State. They are still a good team. SU took a big step back, and UVA isn’t nearly as good as last year. UNC isn’t as good as last year either. GT is a better team. Louisville took a big jump up. They are #1. This Friday and at Duke will be the most difficult games of the year.

UNC just took out of their starters down by 10 to Ohio State.
Roy was pissed.

Duke is good, but not elite and beatable. I worry about our depth. We have 7 guys who rarely get off the floor. Mental and physical fatigue will set in eventually.

The game unraveled for UNC once they lost their starting freshman bigman Armando Bacot (Sp.?) to injury. After that Ohio State easily destroyed them on the inside at the hoop. UNC had no quality sub big to answer. That makes the magnitude of Ohio State's win somewhat deceptive.

A lot of successful teams only go seven deep because it is only a 40-minute game with too many timeouts as is.

Play Coulibaly more to increase depth. He has held his own when he's on the court. Drumgoole's return will also help. Save him until January to ensure he is fully healthy.

From the Cheap Seats; agree, to play with the intensity Pitt does, they need to have nine players getting reasonable minutes.

Yea, Georgia Tech may be improved. However, I saw a team with a relatively poor ability to take care of the ball. I believe we are capable of frustrating them defensively and creating many turnovers.

We just have a problem tripping over programs like Over the Niagara Falls College, and Nickels & Dime State.

Once we get over those bumps in the road watch out for PITT basketball!

It appears that PITT plays better against better teams.
They need a challenge.

UNC struggling to score this year too.
ACC should be pretty volatile.

Watching college basketball this year, wow, there is a lot of average! You could pick about 15 teams that could be in the Final Four, and not because they are so loaded. I see so many other teams make the same mistakes we make, which makes me feel a little better.
