Status on Chris James injury?

I know there's some Narduzzi ribbing going on here. But, my honest opinion... Chris James will not only play but may start. Biz will start. Mitchell will either play sparingly or not plat at all.

From his presser, sounds as if James and Biz could have gone last week but they were being cautious. Im sure both will play.

As for Mitchell, Narduzzi made it sound like he won't be ready and even if he was, he wouldn't beat out Webb right now. He likes how Webb is playing and said he plays better than he practices.

Narduzzi is not letting on at all,, very unfair to the gambling community if you ask me..

I think Ott is out and Daniels is a game time decision. With Derek Mitchell reinstated, the depth worries are not as big of a deal and I think Mitchell has excellent potential.

Iowa may rest them both this week and next to prepare for conference opener. Or, they could tough it out and rest next week. Now that I think about it, that could be the likely case

If Ott doesn't play, I worry a bit about our DE'S being undersized. Ott is 270. Meier is 250 but is very fast and is a senior. Otts replacement is only 240 and a RS freshman. The next guy in is 6'8 270. Nelson. Think he is going to be really good but even at 270 is still kind of skinny.

Nor sure if Ferentz will disclose today but made it sound like Thursdays practice would likely determine if they can play.

Iowa's off day is now Fridays for the first time ever.

Is it just me, or are Chris James and Darrin Hall clones of one another? Same bodies -- same type of runner. I have trouble remembering which is which...

Go Pitt.

No, I don't see that at all. I see James as a quicker runner and Hall as a stronger runner. Their size is relatively similar right now but they won't look anything like each other by the time James is a senior.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Ott the guy who slammed his scooter into another car last year and ended up playing that week? If so sounds like it would take a lot to keep him off the field.

Kellen 'The Warrior' Winslow II "not pleased"

That is true. Tough kid.

But I believe that was bruises and soreness. Maybe some minor cuts. Probably felt like a Sunday morning after playing a game.

this is a joint/soft tissue issue that could be a bit risky to try and play. Not that this isn't an important game but Wisconsin in 2 weeks "means" more. It would not be good at all if he tweaked it this week and couldn't play vs Wisc.

I think either way, he sits next week vs N. Texas.

So, it wouldn't surprise me if he does play this week but I would put more money on him sitting

Daniels injury appears to be a bruise so who knows on that one.

Agree with DVY 100%. Running styles are very different.
