I agree, being 8-8 and in the playoff picture is the absolute worst thing that could have happened. This will keep the organization delusional that they're oh so close...when in reality they're aging and closer to a rebuild than they'd like to believe.

Ughhh, the struggle. I want them to lose for better draft position but I want them to win to possibly see Kenny play 1 more game this season.

At this point play to win and trade their first rounder for a 2nd 3rd and 5th and stock the cupboard
I was in that mode a number of weeks back thinking more about draft position and what every one-off W meant in hurting that draft position. But I think we’re well past that now, a W or L today won’t make that much difference in draft position. Better to root for the W and possible playoff spot.
I could get on board with that. 3 second round picks in the draft would be amazing. You can get alot of quality and depth in the 2nd round.
Yeah but while Watson has been better, he gives up the bad pick. Kenny has been inaccurate but at least he hasn’t forced it.
And DJ is playing like crap. Not helping. Pickens makes the catch in the same spot DJ dropped it.
Johnson please make just one play. He constantly misses those tough plays. Top WRs make them. Not DJ
How do you get rid of him with that salary though? There have been a TON of bad personnel decisions the past 3-4 years.
The 12+ million a year salary would be tough to just dump him. Maybe Zay Flowers can be available in the 2nd round.
Do we think Steven Sims can be a legitimate slot receiver for this team? He’s been a bit of a journeyman but I’ve been impressed by him all season long. Perhaps he’s better as a “spurt” guy, though…

Steelers should trade Johnson, sign Jarvis Landry and draft a WR with potential in the 2nd round.
