Stillers - Browns

Why couldn't that 2 pointer of been the TD, perfect touch and Dropson held up his end of the bargain.

We’ve been on Canada’s case but that was well conceived
I am not saying that they should bring Canada back, but I am saying that with a rookie QB, an OL that has issues pass blocking, a WR1 that drops too many balls and another physically talented WR that dropped basic passes/made bad reads/was traded away, the guy has had some handcuffs.

I would guess that they move on from him and bring in QB guru to work with Pickett, but Canada has not had a lot to work with at times. It helps that Pickett has gotten better and the OL has shown a solid ability to run block. But, they still have some issues that just cannot be addressed until the offseason.

Was that a horse collar in the Jets game? Looked close. Maybe my homer goggles is making me see something else…

Getting Pickens in second round is an amazing drafting coup by Steelers.
That guy is going to be fun to watch for years to come.
PAY HIM when it's time!!!
Slow down a little. I think the sentiment was the same for Claypool during/after his 1st year, and we saw how that worked out. Looks like Pickens has more physical skills so good chance his trajectory will be opposite of Claypool’s. At least let’s hope so.

A lot of guys that were looking forward to gloating about Tomlin's first losing season are likely going to have a rough offseason complaining about random things that they do not like about his coaching. I mean, they would have done it anyway, but I think they were really looking forward to him finally having a losing season in order to further justify their feelings.

I think he’s still prob a bad fit as an NFL Oc but I have a soft spot in my heart for the 2016 offense… Best I’ve ever seen

Canada calling a better game than the Browns OC (Van Pelt). I don’t understand why they haven’t been run heavy from the start.

I am not sure what to think of him on the pro level, but I think getting a real QB guru to work with a cerebral QB like Pickett would be best.

Yeah you’re right, we’re all in the moment pushing for a Steelers win and a Hets win, but there’s a large faction out there bemoaning Tomlin avoiding a losing season……Not.

and a lot of tomlin supporters are going to consider a 9-8 non playoff season a victory. the standard is no longer the standard..

Don't worry my man, they are stewing on it. We will see enough posts about it starting the second after this game, tomorrow, next week, next month, etc. It is never late with a set of miserables in this fanbase.

In a way the 9-8 season is a small success considering the 2-6 start, but had they not thrown up all over themselves against the Jets and Dolphins, wouldn't even be an issue right now. Regardless they fought to a 9 win season. Sure they schedule was easier in the 2nd half but you can only play who is put in front of you.

Onto the draft, Canada should be relieved of duties by 415 pm today and start scouting the UFA wire

tomlin gets his winning season, that's all that matters apparently to some fans. what a season lol.

I just knew the Jets couldn't get it done.
How we ever lost to that team is beyond me.
Missing Watt and playing Trubisky too much to overcome.

Winning games is all that matters.
Once the team came together behind Pickett and the O line played better, the Steelers are like 6-1.

Breaking in a rookie QB, that is a good season. Next season should be better.
Tomlin's record is incidental, but the record is the record, and he owns it.

It really is beginning to seem as if it matters a lot more to the people who wished that he didn't get it.
it's just sad that this is deemed a success amongst steeler fans now. im so old, i remember when winning a playoff game mattered. This steeler organization isnt your father's steelers any more, that's for sure..

9-8 non playoff team in the new standard..
