HHmmmnnnn....do you think James Conner can Beat his own Bowl Rushing Record????This game or next year???? I think he may be stay another year, from a Guess to Just a Hunch! We shall see soon?
Excerpts:
His mom marvels at how the world views her son. “It's the movie ‘Brian's Song,' ” she said. “Who would ever think that your kid or anyone you know would have that opportunity?” Kelly works two jobs, but she accompanied Conner to the show Thursday at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
..............
Meanwhile, he will focus on football when he returns from Atlanta and join his teammates in preparation for the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 28 in New York City. There, the question Conner soon must answer publicly will resurface: Will he give up his final season of eligibility and enter the 2017 NFL Draft? Conner doesn't want to say anything until after the season, but he already talked about it with his mother. “It's such a big decision,” she said. “He would love to be able to get his degree before he did anything. He would love to stay at school and break some more records, if possible. He would have loved to have gone to the (ACC) championship, and he loves his teammates. He loves his coach, the whole deal. “But then it's like, ‘OK, do you risk staying another year and you get injured?' Anything can happen and then you miss out on your opportunity. “Where is he going to end up? What round? All these things come into play. Is the timing right?” Kelly doesn't have all those answers. “He wants advice from me. I don't even know what to tell him,” she said. “It is a very big decision, but at the end of the day it's his decision. “My thought would be stay in school, make sure you graduate, but he just has six credits to go. Pray he has good people around him and he gets good information and makes the best decision for him.”
