So even if Pitt WANTS to have a night game on any of those dates, it won't happen.

Pitt is at Marshall on September 12. I am hoping for a road game on September 26.

I'm not motivated enough to go back and look, but I wonder what our road record is against the G5 since 2000. It can't be much better than .500. I can think of losses at Navy, Toledo, Ohio, Utah (prior to them joining an major conference), UCF... hmm, I think that's all I've got. Wins at Buffalo, Akron, FIU... have we won at Navy? Hmm, talk about an exercise rooted in depression.

Hmm. Miami Oh at home on 9/5 so that will be a nooner. SMF is right, away at Marshall on 9/12.

Labor Day is late next year so that Miami game is actually Labor Day weekend. I predict an early away game at FSU on 26th.

When does the contract end that gives the Pirates the first rights to parking and whatever else was in the deal that allows them to dictate game times? In a way I know it won't matter as I am sure the next contract they will get the rights again, but just wondering if anyone knows.

We are 1-1 on the road at Navy since 2000. 1-2 if you count the Military Bowl.

Won at UAB and BGSU in 2000 I believe.

The Marshall and Western Michigan series were dumb. Those are good G5 programs and almost guaranteed road losses.

The loss at Navy was technically a bowl game in their home stadium. And of course they beat us at Heinz under Wanny. Actually Pitt has laid a few turds against G5 schools at home: Bowling Green, USF (pre-BE), YSU, Akron

Say What? How much do you want to bet that Pitt wins in Huntington? I'll take whatever you're willing to lose.

No, we lost to Navy in a non-bowl game, too.

And tell me about it - I was at those games. I believe Furman also took us into OT. Even that Marshall games three years ago was closer than people would like to admit. We went for it on 4th down around midfield in the 4th quarter. If we didn't get that, I believe we would have lost. Then, a Dane Jackson pick-6 made the final score deceiving.

I was thinking G5 teams on the road might not be a great idea - as Scott Barnes suggested - but now I'm convincing myself that it doesn't even matter where we play them. Although, other than UNC, Narduzzi has mostly averted embarrassing losses (by team--not score differential).

I'm not afraid of Marshall in 2020, but there have undoubtedly been a number of years since 2000 where they would have gotten us.

We also have Cincinnati coming up. Between them, UConn, USF, UCF, Navy, Houston, and SMU... well, we've certainly had our share of recent struggles with current AAC teams.

18-7 from 2000-2010
8-6 from 2011-2018 (including bowls)

Edit: oh, road record. Don’t feel like going back and looking at that. Well, here’s the numbers for overall record vs G5 since 2000.

Succos should just forfeit and save everyone the headache of their play beyond the 4th of july by which time they will already be comfortably ensconced in last place.
