The wife keeps calling me into the kitchen to do something. We have been married a long time so I am looking for new ways to get kicked out of the kitchen. I have used the burning something, having a friend call me, keep asking questions until she says “just let me do it”, etc but looking for a new idea.

(actually I am kidding! I am a good helper)

How about going out to eat so she doesn't have any work at all?

I cook a lot but I'll be honest these holidays exhaust me. I would LOVE to do some of these at a restaurant instead with nice desserts at home.

What's next for you?? Beating your laundry on rocks at the creek???? ;)
I do most of the cooking during the week....but the Mrs. is a whirlwind on holidays. I generally help with basic things like stuffing the bird, cutting spuds, preparing the beverages, last minute errands, setting the table, polishing silver (Yes we are traditionalists), etc. Come to think of it, she gets off pretty easy. We had a nice crew of 10. 3 daughters not present: FL/CA/AK. Still a nice day.
