Well yesterday was a microcosm of the last 5 games which means another disaster. A season that started with so much promise has left the Panthers at 7-5 and a slew of questions:

1. Down 3, BC facing a 3rd and 20, the defensive staff once again refused to play somewhat conservatively and went pressure and man to man so of course the Eagles decide to throw a go route for a TD even though it was well covered by Battle. How many times are we going to see 3rd and long being completed? Keep the Eagles in front of you, a FG only puts you up 6. But nope, we go down 10 and that's all she wrote.

2. Nate Yarnell who was heroic by standing tall in the pocket all day and getting pummeled could have benefited from some coaching adjustments. Maybe a screen now and then. Maybe a moving pocket or some chipping on the BC ends. And yes your down to a FR RB, who supposedly has game changing speed, set up some plays to get him in space. Did not see adequate adjustments at all from an offensive coaching staff that seemed overwhelmed the last 5 games.

3. Another game, another botched call by the ACC refs. How they didn't overturn the call on the punt recovery is beyond me.

4. So are we saying the Branson Taylor injury was the key to the season? I mean is the program that thin that we couldn't figure out how to compensate with Taylor's injury? or maybe the 7-0 was a mirage though after woodshedding Cuse (without Taylor by the way), we collapsed. How bizarre is that? No show at SMU, mulligan game against UVA, showed up against Clemson though got caught in the wrong Defense at the end, No show at UL, no show at BC. Just weird.

5. I'd be remiss not to point out that as good as Yarnell has played, Holstein's running ability really helped this team and the offensive line out. His ability to break contain really was missed.

6. Speaking of Syracuse, that's a great job by Fran Brown to get that team to 9 wins, but Mario Cristobal continues to show that he's more recruiter than coach. UM up 21-0 and could not stop the Cuse. UM's D was not good all year. Bad loss. And down 7 with under 4 minutes at the Cuse 10 you kick a FG when your D couldn't stop Cuse? Seriously?

7. I wanted chaos in the rankings and we almost got it. Michigan's victory at Ohio State was the big stunner but really wanted USC to beat ND and really wanted GT to finish off UGA in what ended up being a classic with more bizarre ACC calls (ACC crew in that game). It will be interesting to see what will happen on Tuesday.

8. So now what? The coaching staff should be assessing the portal for OL's. I think the front seven is good as long as we don't get any defections though I think we could use another DE. Need some WR's as well with Konata done. Poppi Williams was a drop waiting to happen as the season progressed, Reynolds was the only sure handed receiver though I suspect his inability to create separation was an issue with the staff.

9. Can't say I'm thrilled with the coaching staff and wonder what the new AD thinks. We competed at home but didn't on the road. Is that a sign of coaching, I think so and some fragility in the team make up. Yes we improved by 4 games in the win column from last year but when you are in the hunt for a playoff spot and completely shit the bed questions have to be asked.

10. Speaking of coaching, you think Dabo could put a spy on the Gamecock qb at the end of the game. I mean all Sellers did was break contain and run through a D that was nowhere to be found. That's a bad loss at home for Clemson though Miami bailed them out.

That's all I got, though there is some ray of hope as I think the Basketball Team is pretty good and the women's volleyball might bring us a national championship.
