We are 4-1, all that matters. I don't care how pretty or not pretty the win was it was a win. Never forget that:
1. You fail to catch an easy TD grab and you fumble at the 1. That's what drives you crazy. I know the coaches love 85's speed but his hands are really bad. Ollison has had two crucial fumbles in the last two games. Troubling.
2. I love Josh Conklin's aggressive D, love how we attack the pocket but 4th and a mile let's play a zone and not let our defenders with their back to the ball pls. Just saying!
3. I thought this was Jim Chaney's best play calling game. Kept UVA off balance a lot with first down throws, power runs, using Boyd as decoys and passes to his TE.
4. Don't underestimate beating a team that desperately needs a win. It's the middle of the season, teams aren't tanking it just yet. so you have to appreciate a win like this. And oh by the way, the VT win looks much better doesn't it?
5. BC loses 3-0 WHHHHHAAAAT? Adizzio doesn't kick a FG at the 1 to tie. FG kicker goes 0-2. That should bring the fans out.
6. I'd love to sweep GT and Syracuse on the road but I'll take a split frankly. GT is going to be very tough. Tough game to prepare for.
7. I thought our DL was gassed at the end of the game. Thank goodness we stopped them. WE weren't getting anything on our pass rush. You can see the lack of depth clearly. We still don't have the numbers.
8. Peterman really throws a catcheable ball. Don't think he's got a rocket but the ball gets there just fine and he's accurate.
9. The Biz hold was a very cheesy call in my mind. Your better off not making like your hands were in the cookie jar like BIZ did and just playing. The supposed hold was irrelevant to the play as well. And really, they call delay of game when the ump is not letting us snap the ball. Weird.
10. Think Jim Harbaugh can coach? Sheesh.
11. I think the much maligned Galumbos, at least on the board, needs an apology. Man is he playing well. That's coaching by the way. I think we've undervalued over the years really good assistants. I hope they can keep this crew intact for a few years.
12. I'm still seething over the Pirates having to play a one game playoff after winning 98 games.
13. Defense gave up what one td? Not bad but I will say this, we're lucky that they haven't been on the field too long. Not because they aren't good but the lack of depth and frankly size outside of the DT's is a concern.
14. I find it interesting that teams spread us out many times we stay in our base personel. Maybe it's me but I havent noticed a lot of dime and nickel packages.
15. FEELS SO GOOD to have a D. Offense is slowly getting better, but man can you imagine if James Conner was healthy?
