Posting this here since the executive kook from TOS is pretending he heard it via inside information:

The Pitt News: The University has recently incorporated the “Pitt script” more, as well as the new black basketball uniforms. Is this part of some effort to rebrand the University?

Randy Juhl: With “Pitt script”, it’s something that’s been around, but de-emphasized when we went to “block Pitt.” We’ll see more of that kind of branding with football come next fall, expansion of the brand to mark return to the good old days. The script will be prominent next year as well.

They won't be using throwback uniforms, we're wearing the same ones as last year.

Oregon changes uniforms every week, why in the hell does Pitt need to be so anal about such trivial stuff, why not have a throwback uni, something that looks like the late '70s unis would be the best, and wear them a few times a year.

If it takes two years to work out a uniform change with Nike, then we have a bad deal.

We did try to change the uniforms, but we were told there wasn't enough time. I agree that seems absurd.

I have no problem with throwback uniforms. But where in that interview did you pick up on a hint of throwbacks? Maybe I missed it...

Randy Juhl: "We’ll see more of that [Pitt Script] kind of branding with football come next fall, expansion of the brand to mark return to the good old days."
