Nothing really surprising here. Just wished this would be regulated somehow. Its insane that COLLEGE sports now have the most unregulated salaray system in the world.
It has been sewage with the coaches for decades, and now the same with the players.

In theory, better to play for a year at a lower level, indeed. Let the kid take some classes at Troy while he's learning his skills. The problem is, the big-time 5-star wants to live in a big-time athletic dorm. Troy's facilities aren't going to be up to snuff.I think this should move towards a Euro soccer model. USC pays Pitt a nice fee to buy Addison. Pitt pays for Mumpfield, etc. Could even incorporate the loan system. Wouldn't Alabama be better off having their freshmen start for Troy for a season rather than ride the bench?
