PITTSBURGH – The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX Sports – will see the return of Zoo Crew, a University of Pittsburgh alumni team. Zoo Crew will host the Pittsburgh Regional, looking to defend their home court at the Petersen Events Center from July 20-24.
Zoo Crew, the second seed in the Pittsburgh Region, is organized by former Panther and Pitt men’s basketball assistant coach Gilbert Brown. Zoo Crew will play Million $ Worth of Game on Saturday, July 20, at 8 p.m. ET. If Zoo Crew advances to the second round, they will face the winner of Best Virginia (West Virginia Alumni) and Brotherly Love Pro Am Foundation on Monday, July 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Pittsburgh Regional championship game is Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. ET.
The eight alums currently on Zoo Crew combined for 7,995 points and 3,684 rebounds during their respective careers at Pitt.
