TCU Made an Offer to Dixon

Gary Parrish reporting that Dixon is giving serious consideration to it
If he takes it, then I will be rooting for him. If TCU eats up the buyout, then it is a best case scenario for everyone. Take that money and make a huge offer to Gregg Marshall. They are losing their key players and he may be looking for a new challenge.

His time here has passed. A point guard helped him get the job and a point guard will be the one that facilitates him leaving...it's clear in the tourney his philosophy is not built for it, need scorers and alphas, not beta types on the team. I like Jamie but he need to move on and get his mojo back.

Absolutely, does he need help packing
He has done a lot for the school and for the basketball program, gave us a lot of great memories, even if the last 5 years have not been great. I see no reason to bash him, even if it is good if we have a change. You often act like he has never done anything good. That's a shame.

He might be able to succeed to some level in the B12 w/ his defense/rebounding philosophy. Huggs doing the all out pressure defense sure has worked in a league not known for defense. Good luck to him - or should I say good luck to him in convincing TCU to pony up the funds for his buyout.

he's not gone yet. there have been like 25 rumors of him leaving over the years, none have come true. I'm sure he'd appreciate the well wishes, better than the snarky remarks, but customarily, a guy leaves first before saying good bye.

Well... if Barnes is to be taken by his word, both him and Gallagher love Dixon. So Dixon is probably using this to adjust the incentive-based contract into less of one. If he can pull that one off - more power to him - but let's get real here... TCU is not going to buy-out his contract and be able to pay him a top-10 salary w/ the oil/gas industry on the verge of implosion. Just not gonna happen. He missed his chance 3 years ago.

All I can say is, I hope he stays at Pitt. Not happy with the state of the program the past few years but not ready to give up on JD either.
