Not sure if this has been discussed, but does anyone think that Barnes may have gotten a home game as part of the Dixon buyout? And I mean football.

I doubt it. It wouldn't mean anything on the attendance front. Maybe it would help with TV but not at the gate.

I'd like to think you're right but I don't think you are. Maybe 50? Depends on how good Pitt is, I suppose. Definitely not a major factor.

no we wouldn't. I've been to plenty, three rivers to Heinz to pitt stadium, no sellouts. Better crowds no doubt but no sellouts..

After the Brawl hiatus, trust me.. the game would be a sellout.

I'm with you, 37TPT. I think the BYB should again be an annual affair. However, it needs to be a safe environment for visiting fans when Pitt plays in Morgantown. If WVU can clean that up – and make no mistake about it, it is definitely an issue – they will quickly reinstate that series.

The brawl may sell out after the break in the series but it rarely sold out in the past unless both teams were good.
