Game was not live on the ACCN. For some reason HULU did not have it on. I watched it on my ipad (could also have done so on my desktop computer) via my paid ESPN+ app.

Why am I not able to bring ESPN+ up on my Roku device? How do I fix this--I presume there is a way.

UCF game was not on ACCN, it was on ABC/ESPN2.

The game was on ABC for me on Vue and showed with no issue. The other game showing on ESPN2 should've been BYU/Washington, however it was blacked out for some reason. Didn't understand why ESPN2 was blacked out.

The Pitt game should've been available on the ESPN app itself, not ESPN+.

Yesterday, I mostly watched the Pitt game via antenna, another game on Vue via Firestick, and I watched Mizzou/Carolina via ESPN app on Roku.

Sounds like you're having Provider sign in or authentication issues for the ESPN app.

Hulu wasn't carrying ESPN 2 or the local DC ABC affiliate for some reason where I live. Seemed odd to me unless it was a blackout since the game was going to be shown as a replay on the ACCN at 3 AM. That is what sent me to the ESPN App on my ipad. Missed our first TD messing with Roku and HULU looking for the game.

Don't know why but Hulu doesn't carry the local ABC station (odd since it carries the local CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates) and I live too far out of DC to get any stations via antenna. The only TV station that I can get (and very fuzzy) is a Hagerstown, MD station.

I'm not trying to be a smartass (which is a change to be sure) but the reason that they don't carry the local ABC station is as simple as they cannot agree on the terms of the deal. It's nothing different than the CBS stations being removed from DirecTV for a couple weeks in late July - early August. If the two parties can't agree on the fee to be paid then the provider, in this case Hulu, isn't allowed to show the station. Obviously the local ABC station wants more money than Hulu is willing to pay.

Understood--but why no ESPN 2 either. I was sure it was part of my HULU package when I signed up and I get all the other ESPN channels. Are the two things somehow linked?

Also, shouldn't I be able to get the ESPN app on my Roku since I get it on my computer and ipad?

Can you download mobdro?

In my case, Vue displayed a message stating nothing was wrong with my account but ESPN2 could not be streamed at the moment. I'm not sure why ESPN2 was blocked, but ABC wasn't.

I suspect that you're not logged into your Hulu account at the Provider Account setting in the ESPN app on Roku. That's the only thing I can think of that may be preventing you from utilizing the ESPN app on Roko.

Mobdro is a streaming app that you can sideload onto Firestick.

You get ESPN2, I have no doubt

Thanks--good info. I will try to fix the Roku problem.

Played around with ROKU this morning. It tells me I have the ESPN App; but when I try to go to the channel it tells me it cannot verify my location.

What the heck does that mean? How do i fix it?

Go to setting in the top right when in the ESPN app. Select "Log Out". Then log back in. It will ask you to go to espn/Roku (or something lik that) and enter the verification code. Once you do that you should be able to access the channels on the app, including the ACC Network.
