in the first half and explain to me how Cam Johnson is ready to play ACC minutes at this point in his career?

It's no coincidence that Pitt got back in the game when Luther and Maia started playing post defense.

Pitt gave up just 1 point over the final 8:04 of the half.

Amazing what not leaving players wide open for dunks on the baseline will do.

Try putting Young, Artis, Jeter and Robinson on the bench to start the 2nd half and see what happens.
Worth a try and would give a boost to those four.

I like Maia's hustle and effort. He played good in the first 5 minutes when we had the early lead and then he went out for a rest. I didn't think Jamie would put him back in, but he got back in, immediately got a steal and several rebounds. With probably about 10 minutes of playing time, if that, he is the leading rebounder in the game with 5. With 2 fouls I wonder how many minutes he will get in the 2nd half?

I find myself really liking Maia and rooting for him! Then reality sets in and I realize, why am I excited about a less athletic Gary McGhee type player? Good, solid below the rim player, an Ivy League all star, attitude, smart, hustles, but why do we start this kind of guy in the ACC? We really can't get a next level guy?
