athletes need to follow the rules of the governing bodies of the sport in which they are competing. Lia Thomas followed NCAA rules at the time. The NCAA followed the rules put in place by USA Swimming. Lia Thomas also graduated three years ago. Why are you still fixated on Lia Thomas? Do you a think a biological woman who has undergone hormone therapy should be able to compete with women who haven’t just because she was born a woman? Are there any of them competing?

The fact is many of you could care less about women’s sports. In fact many of you disparage women’s sports any time you can. Unless, of course, Lia Tghomas is playing. Why is that?
What?? Weak ass answer. He was following governing rules blah blah. Progressive left stated it so of course I could never disagree with them. I dont want to be doxxed and shamed.

And, no doubt Jonestown agrees that enlisted personnel need to follow the rules of the governing bodies of the service branch in which they are serving.

So, eff some lower court judge's non-constitutional opinion.

You didn't answer. Do you have your own opinion?? On anything? Or just programmed.

And you think it was an outright lie as opposed to an initial miscalculation by someone newly on the job? He admitted the error not longer after first uncovering it. So error or lie? We know what side you come out on, and you very well could be right. But we also know that if Elon did this while aligned with Biden, you’d have a different take.
I don't trust Musk. He holds $23 Billion in Federal contracts and his conflicts of interest are innumerable. His first targets for DOGE were Federal agencies that were investigating his companies or were responsible for their oversight and regulation. He targeted the FAA and is angling to cancel Verizon's $2.4 Billion Air Traffic Control upgrade contract so that SpaceX/Starlink can take over the project. Honestly, this is not OK.

It was an honest mistake. Elon obviously confused the condom count for Gaza with the condom count for my fraternity during my years at Pitt.
Who you kidding? We’ve met, and I was thinking your nightstand drawer!

OK. I am not saying I am totally comfortable with Musk just running through our government with a chain saw. Honestly, I think you are starting to see Trump back off on that. But this whole "Musk is doing it for money" is nonsense as it costing him more money than some countries GDP.

I never understood how Republicans from the private sector who join the public sector, especially elected ones, are "doing it for the money" are so offensive to the left. Yet they have no problem with career politicians who never had a real job, and with a modest salary amass 10 figure net worths and they don't have a problem with that. I mean, that money is coming from somewhere, and it isn't their paycheck or expert market knowledge.

Do you guys on the left ever consider anything like this. Why is the former so evil and the latter so acceptable to you?

So far all Musk is doing is exposing the fraud waste and corruption. The vast majority of Americans approve of what he’s doing

This nonsense about him gutting medicine and Ss is nonsense. And it’s likely the crap about him going after gov depts for his own benefit is likely bs as well. And if it comes to pass (ie proven rather than some made up Lib bullshit ) that there are serious conflicts everyone supporting the doge efforts will turn on him

I think this ^^^

Doge is overwhelmingly popular, and the vocal people on this board are part of a minority and just acting like fanboys for their team. They probably don’t deserve our attention. They are irrelevant.

Seriously, after all those color revolutions across Northern Africa, is any of this not obvious?

Those were the rules in place at the time, you simple minded Trump Humping homophobic dumb****. They have since been changed again by USA Swimming.

Thomas won the women’s 500 in 2022 with a time of 4:33.24. Jillian Cox won the 500 this year with a time of 4:31.58. Thomas’s best 500 time while participating in men’s swimming was 4:18.72. Hormone therapy obviously slowed Thomas down.

But again, that’s not what matters to you at all.

I don’t know the science behind hormone replacement treatments. I do know Lia Thomas’s best times as a woman were considerably lower than as a man. Lia Thomas was not setting any records. I believe USA Swimming changed its rules after 2022 so I don’t know if a Lia Thomas could compete today or not.

If USA Swimming, the NCAA and the IOC is ok with it, so am I. If that means I’m programmed, so be it.

it may or may not be a huge deal to anyone but it was and is wrong and frankly if one girl was harmed it harmed all girls and should never have happened but when it did should immediately have been remedied

whether a political ploy in the name of being all inclusive backfiring or whatever, there's competition limits and rules for men and women sports separately and I and many others are glad rational guidelines exist

the fact that Thomas' records have been displaced is meaningless, they should never have happened, the races and places should never have occurred and while able to be reinstated the harm is done

feel free to laugh as you continually reveal each time your limitations

Or could it be that Bill Thomas sucked at swimming so much that he pretended to be a woman so he could win a few races and feel good about himself like most of these mentally ill degenerates

Thomas was simply allowed to compete. It was no political ploy. No one was harmed by Thomas competing. No one. If you want to talk political ploys, look no further than the women’s volleyball teams that forfeited games against San Jose State because of its use of a trans individual. That individual had been playing for years without any of those same teams forfeiting matches.

He's doing it for power and control, not money....but the money is there regardless, just like Trump monetizing the Presidency. He's in it for power and control but the money is a nice bonus. Which life long politician has a $ Billion net worth who didn't come from money or have a spouse with money?

Musk is just a man. He has no authority that isn't under review, just like every other government employee
You know that is horsesh*t. He's an unelected guy who holds court at Cabinet meetings and does Press conferences in the Oval office, dressed like a homeless guy, while Trump sits there like he's at the kid's Thanksgiving table.

the ploy was the support afterward by Penn and overwhelmingly the left and the D party

the volleyball issue became an actionable event once it became known to the teams and players involved, the fact that it had happened unknown to most prior to that doesn't make it ever ok

you seem to have some information that teams played knowingly for a while then later decided not to while I don't think there was public statements by the offending player regarding his situation

should biological males be able to play in women/girls only sports leagues? should men be able to compete in women's?

how anyone can defend men transitioning and women/girls having to endure sacrificing their privacy and the clear unfairness of this is simply wrong and beyond every rational reasonable boundary

Hold court? Over whom?

His only authority is that which Trump has delegated to him.

San Jose State went 13-18 in 2023 with the senior transathlete on its team. This was not unknown to any of its opponents. Don’t be an idiot and claim it wasn’t. Not one team forfeited.

$50 Million for condoms in Gaza.....The $8 Billion contract that turned out to be $8 Million.
The $8 billion contract claim resulted from an error in the Federal Procurement Data System, which listed the amount when it was approved in September 2022. The DOGE claim was corrected when the contract's actual terms were identified.

It's a pointless topic. If I see Musk bring a white pussy cat into the Oval Office and he sprays in Trump's face (the cat, not Elon) I'll give you assertion due consideration.

"SpaceX on Wednesday denied that it’s looking to take over a $2.4 billion Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contract. Instead, Elon Musk’s company thinks its Starlink can support Verizon’s (VZ) modernization efforts."

"Both Bloomberg and The Washington Post reported that FAA officials were deciding whether to cancel Verizon’s contract entirely. SpaceX says that won’t be happening.

“Starlink is a possible partial fix to an aging system,” SpaceX said in a statement posted to Musk’s X. “There is no effort or intent for Starlink to ‘take over’ any existing contract.”"

"Following that event, and several others, Transportation Department Secretary Sean Duffy said improving the U.S. air traffic control system is a priority. As part of that effort, he brought on SpaceX engineers to give advice and discuss modernizing the system.

“It’s part of the solution,” Duffy told Fox News on Tuesday, emphasizing that Starlink’s terminals are ideal for areas where it’s difficult to install fiber wires, such as mountains in Alaska."

Elon Musk's SpaceX says it's not trying to take over Verizon's $2.4 billion FAA contract

Trump's net worth has declined while he was president. Both he and Musk are doing it for far different reasons than you claim.

If giving the Cabinet a description of DOGE activities means "holding court", then you would be correct. But I suspect that you think something else was happening and you would be wrong.

Disagree. He was once a hero to the left. Everything he has done has been to advance the US and our society. I think he felt he can apply some real business common sense to the bloated, multi layered government and not to enrich himself. I just think he and Trump are too abrupt in delivery and method to communicate what they are doing with more nuance and compassion.
