Pretty amazing what Chris Beard has now assembled/overhauled at Texas…unreal.

Beard is one of the 5 best coaches in college basketball.
It’s tough to come up with anyone better than him. Texas will have a real shot to win it all this year.
Let’s face it-Carr just wasn’t Pitt material. I mean he shoots a lot which is why he averaged a lot at Pitt and Minny. The dreaded Pantherlair “volume shooter.” Do I have that about right?
Steph Curry, James Harden, Lebron, and every other great scorer “not pleased”.
As for Beard, he very well may be one of the best college coaches out there, and he was unquestionably a great hire, but he hasn’t coached a game yet at Texas. That job has chewed up and spat out a couple of other highly regarded coaches over the years. I’ll take the wait and see approach with Beard on that one. This group of transfers he has assembled for a one year run may or may not come together and be capable of a deep NCAA run. There is undoubtedly some unhappiness with the holdover players that now stand to lose their minutes to the new guys.
It will be an interesting storyline this season.
