combination if you are the average football fan. I don't care that it will be overpriced. I know that it will loosen up our Moribund fan base that has been lulled into thinking that being great is unrealistic as a Pitt Fan for the past 30 years. Sure we have had flashes of brilliance with many great players but I do believe we are at the start of something great.

Does beer have anything to do with it? It's going to fund scholarships so the money saved can be spent on coaches, recruiting, travel and all the stuff that kids want on campus. It's a piece of the puzzle and honestly the beer will make things louder. It will be a party and not a funeral so enjoy it.

If there is a problem with a fan, text security and let them finally earn their pay. Problem solved.

It's going to be a great day for many reasons but I will raise my cup to celebrate the start of something great. I hope we realize that the crowd could literally be the extras in the future James Conner Movie. Find some new Pitt gear and represent well on film.

I'm glad beer is going to enhance your enjoyment of the game so much. I mean, it's not like you can't drink for four hours before you go in!

It does not contribute to Pitt's bottom line. That's why I love the decision in the Stadium.

a great fund raiser.......and really, beer and football just go together so well.....

It will be very interesting to see if "beer sales" has any impact on atmosphere and attendance. There are a number of people that have argued strenuously that beer sales would have a positive impact. While this one season won't be sufficient to tell--I hope that those of you that think so are right. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying my normal adult beverage in the Club and looking and listening. Hail to Pitt!

Ya, that's what I like to do, drink for 4hrs, then stop. Nothing like getting a hangover while I sit in the sun with all the noise from 50k people because I can't have 2 or 3 more to help my buzz come down slowly.

I was given club seats a few times....and I honestly hated them. I like being out with the crazy people more than people who feel they are above the common fan.
It was like a Morgue the majority of times I have attended Club. Nice seats but there are drawbacks to whom it attracts.

It absolutely will enhance the atmosphere for many and I bet most of them might get in their seats a few minutes earlier to welcome James Conner back. Most I know like a beer after a long work week. In fact I know dozens who stayed home because of it. They are not boozers. Just want to have options on a Saturday. The next complaint will be the beer lines are too long. It's revenue. I'm in 210 and have 8 non clubs and they are the seats harder to fill. Let everyone enjoy.

Right on big marty! After about 10 years of holding season tickets , work got so bad that it was virtually impossible to get Saturdays off, ( I never saw Paul whats his name coach in person)but when Pat Narduzzi was hired I could not stay away any longer and have only had two days off since June 27 so that I could assure my schedule would allow me to be at all home games. Enjoying a couple of beers each game will put icing on the cake!

I particularly enjoyed these comments. If you are wearing a Pitt shirt and supporting the team, I will not judge anyone even if their buzz is wearing off during the game.

I hope you are right. But I know [and observe] plenty of people that sit in the Club that also do not make it into the stadium for pre-game or kick-off due to having their last drink at the tailgate, etc. Will be interesting to observe. Hail to Pitt!

Or ever leave the club to go to their seats. They just sit at the bar.

Guilty as charged...the cheap beer headache has certainly set in late in the 3rd quarter when it is hot and I have perspired-out my 8 or 10 colds ones I put away before kickoff...one or two more keeps you hydrated (temporarily) and keeps the temple drums from setting in too early...
