With the benefit of hindsight, the 2013 Heisman voting looks even more deplorable. These guys finished ahead of Aaron Donald: Jameis Winston, Tre Mason, Johnny Manziel, AJ McCarron, Jordan Lynch, Bryce Petty, Andre Williams, Marcus Mariota and Ka'Deem Carey. And AD tied with Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater.

That was a travesty on the order of Hugh Green and Larry Fitzgerald. By rights, Pitt should have FOUR Heisman winners.

Someone should go back and ask the brainless sportswriters of 2013 what they were thinking. Shades of Ron Cook licking Jason White's laces.

Most of those 9 are so forgettable the average person will have to look them up.

Yes, Hugh Green and Larry Fitzgerald were so dominant in college football they should have won the Heisman. Donald made a good case also. Back when Green played it was hard for a DL to get noticed like that but he was one of the best ever to play in college and at Pitt. Green on one side and Ricky Jackson on the other side. There was no were to go.

A Heisman would never happen because he was an OL but I have yet to see any college lineman who was as unstoppable as Bill Fralic. He made hard things look so easy, like a man against boys. RIP #79.

The Heisman has nothing to do with how you perform later in the pros, all that matters is what you did in college ball just that one year.

The Heisman does not go to the most outstanding player. It usually goes to the best QB on a competitive team.

That's not what Cook said

Does the Heisman even matter anymore? AD swept all the other major awards. He got his due.

You must be misremembering how great of a season Winston had. I love AD, but Winston made him and every other Pitt defensive player look bad that entire game.
