The ACC Basketball TV package totally suxs. There is no reason the Pitt at Ville game should not be on a national TV feed. Moreover it is not even on a standard local TV network in PA.
The ACC has Miami at Wake on every Fox Sports / Root Sports feed (even on Root Sports Pittsburgh) as per DirecTV instead of having Pitt at Ville on one station. The Miami at Wake game will be the lowest watched game in ACC history except for VT vs GT last night.
I realize there is the issue with Pitt at Ville at 8 pm EST instead of 7 pm EST. I also realize there are issues with Raycomb and selection issues. However, those are not excuses.
The ACC has the worst TV package of all of the big 5 conference and is even worse that the Big East (that has Fox Sports 1, ESPN and CBS Sports Channel).
The ACC needs to get their act together and stop letting the out-dated Raycom Sports agreement hold back the growth of the ACC. The ACC desperately needs to get the ACC Network on TV. Once the ACC decided to expand to >12 or >14 teams then they needed to have a plan in place to televise the games.
