Joking of course but its obviously a top conference. Been a funny season

- SEC: highest average seed in history (minimum 5 teams in)

- ACC: 2nd best NCAAT performance in history (minimum 5 teams in)

- Big 12: champs

- Big Ten: highest attendance??? Maybe???

Of course, the Big 12's accolades should be contingent on Kansas getting to keep the trophy. There is a reasonable possibility that the Jayhawks' championship will be vacated in the very near future.

I wish Pitt could get a vacated championship, that's way better than what we experience. Because to me, I'd still have the championship t shirt and DVD and since it really happened it would always "count" to me.

i feel like any time any of us makes a blanketed statement about a conference, good or bad, it comes back to bite us.. Generalizations about a conference in hoops just seems like a bad idea..

i said the acc hoops was pathetic all year, and that didnt age well. im done with conference wide generalizations..

I still think it was pretty bad. Lots of randomness in the NCAAT

Duke was good. We all knew that.

UNC has a quartet that is as good as any in college basketball. We knew that. But they weren't winning.

Miami upset Auburn and won 2 50/50 games. They were also like 30 year old grown ass men.

ND is hit or miss literally

VT is an ND wannabe.

So, basically 1 elite team. 1 team with an elite quartet who hit their stride and not much else after that.

Somehow it would perfectly encapsulate where Pitt basketball is for is to make a magical run to the NIT semifinals and then have that run vacated by NCAA violations.

At 70, the last thing I’d want to do is run an NCAA conference. That being said, it might be a good idea to bring in someone with some innovative ideas to that conference so they don’t lose more schools in the next conference realignment.

The ACC had a down year but still had the most teams in the sweet 16 and half in the final 4. Any time a power conference is “underrated” in the regular season, it’s likely that the conference’s parity is overlooked.
