It is entirely possible they get zero teams to the Sweet 16. I am betting the 5 way anti-B10 parlay.

- Maryland is a heavy underdog against Alabama

- Penn State is a solid underdog against Texas

- Indiana is a pick'em (or close) against Miami

- Northwestern is a solid underdog against UCLA

- Michigan State is an underdog against Marquette

They’ll probably get 1 in.

The expected results based on getting good seeding should have been 3+, so they’ll underperform again. Purdue will kill their stats and rightly so, as the expected # of wins for a 1 seed is 3.34 and they had 0.

Big 10 had seeds of 1, 4, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10 which comes out to 9.32 expected wins. They have 5 now and will likely end up with 6-8.

A quick comparison to the ACC ( 4, 5, 5, 11, 11). 5.07 expected wins and has 4 so far.

Love Marquette -2.5.

I don't see any of those B1G teams winning their games this weekend. You can never count out Izzo so that might be one that will sneak into the Sweet 16.

Yeah, the Izzo effect is real. Plus isn't Marquette an overachieving bunch? Think they were picked low in the Big East, which makes me wonder how much raw talent they have. Couldn't name a player on either team though.

I saw a stat that said teams that started the season unranked and finished as a top two seed typically don’t make it out of the first weekend. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Sparty defeat Marquette. That’s just a weak region overall.

I’d say Indiana, Michigan State and PSU have reasonable chances of winning. NW and Maryland very very unlikely.

Marquette plays with tempo and forces a lot of turnovers. Tyler Kolek is one of the best point guards in the country. MSU needs to get Marquette in a slow, grind it out game.

And the other team that that applied to this season was Purdue.

I think Penn State has the best shot, they’re pretty solid.

I’d love to see Michigan state win. I can’t stand Shaka

Those Quad 1 battles with the O$U softened the entire conference. So we’re to believe.

Why does everybody care about the Big Ten? I don’t get it. They suck and haven’t won a championship in 22 years.
