...was the day the Steelers beat the Colts 21-18 in the playoffs. The infamous Bettis Fumble/Ben Tackle game.

January 15, 2006. Pitt won 61-57.

Freshman Levance Fields led Pitt with 13 points, Aaron Gray had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Young had 9 points, and Ramon and Krauser had 8 each. Krauser was the only Pitt player with more than 30 minutes of PT.

Pitt shot just 37.7% for the game.

For Louisville.... Terrence Williams went off for 25 points.... but no other Cardinals scored in double figures. Louisville committed 17 turnovers in the game.

The box score looks ugly as hell. The team both shot under 40% for the game, and around 60% at the FT line. Combined for 30 turnovers and only 25 assists.

I'd say we're due.

Wow. Good find. And the 6 seed steelers are playing Manning in the divisional playoffs this weekend. So if Pitt wins, take the Steelers on Sunday.

I remember that quite vividly.
Long story short, we were driving home from Pittsburgh, through west virginia, trying to listen to either game.
My mom calls to tell me Pitt won and that the Steelers were about, and then cussed and hung up. Took me a little while to find out that Bettis had fumbled.

I think players are usually a bit tired when they play there, hence the losing streak.
Pitino actually plays guys at their natural position, which has led to our issues. I like our chances tonight now that Jamie has radically changed his philosophy.

Also, now we have some "go-to players" and are good at free-throws, so victory is essentially guaranteed.
