Can someone please explain why Reid? wasn't given the touchdown on the plan that led to the circus? The officials marked the ball at the two, but the runner clearly did not step out of bounds there. If nothing else, the ball should have been put on the half yard line.

I think the TD was iffy but I am always befuddled in these situations where it seems to be the length of a football one way or the other and they mark it at the one or two...I have never seen a post play spot in that kind of situation placed at the one foot line...They do the same sort of thing when a first down resides on a width wide line (like the 40 when starting a possession from the 30). They always give the offense a first down when someone comes up a foot or so short especially on a first or second down play. Almost seems to be out of laziness..

That officiating crew wasn't the sharpest but who knows.

I think it’s iffy as to whether it was a TD but the replays sure looked like his foot wasn’t out of bounds so I was at least expecting them to re-spot it from the 2-yard line to somewhere from inches to no more than a foot from the goal line.

Always a little confused on the review rules between college and NFL but it seems like that play wasn’t even reviewed because I don’t recall the broadcast crew making any mention of it. They showed the replay and commented that he may not have been OB but that was about the extent of any discussion.

Clearly wasn’t a TD and I didn’t think the spot was bad. Just a horrible sequence by the players and coaches.

Depends on whether or not you think his foot was out of bounds at the 2. If it wasn’t then it was a real bad spot, ball was easily within inches to a foot of the goal line.

The ACC refs sucked all game. I don't think they intentionally screw Pitt but they're certainly incompetent.
