Now I know Dennis was chippy and somewhat out of control on a number of plays yesterday, BUT...
Do you think that was roughing the passer?
Aren't pass rushers allowed a step in hitting the QB? They can't stop on a dime.
He didn't launch, headhunt, etc. It appeared to be a typical tackle football play.
That call was important, but it is a bad look to criticize the refs. Unfortunately, the game was not called in a balanced fashion. Our DB's were flagged for close calls on PI, however, NCState's bigger WR's were pushing off as well and nothing ever called there.
Was the call on Dennis payback for Pickett getting his brains knocked out in the most classic example of targeting ever?
If so, the plays were in no way similar.
Pitt earns their bad luck more often than not, the Tobacco road crowd needs to acknowledge this. We don't need any help to lose!
