No he didn't you freaking apologist. He sucked down the stretch like most of the rest of the team and the coach.
He is the floor leader, the floor general. Sometimes you have to know what to do in the right time, no way you drive to the hoop down 6 with 12 seconds left, you NEED THREES! Maybe Wilson or Cam or someone might make that mistake, but not your 4 year point guard. At that point we would have lost anyway, but you just have to think.
My only issue with James tonight was that the offense really bogged down the last 5 minutes and that's when he needed to step up his game and make a shot but he was completely in distribution mode and wasn't thinking shot.
The bigger issue was awful shot he took down 3 at the end.
The whole team needs a makeover, starting with him. He's been here for 4 years - no coincidence none of his teams were any good.
Why do you even bother to watch Pitt play. You'll never be happy. Pitt played a better team and had a chance to win the game until the very end. You'd fine something to bitch about even had they won.
Regardless of how he played, that was definitely a dumb decision on his part. It would have been a stretch to pull that out but it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. Make a 3, foul Louisville and hope they miss the FT again and you have a chance to tie it at the end with another 3. It's like he had already conceded the loss.
I'm sorry, I'm not usually negative, but that horrible decision just after the running forced brick off the top of the glass when we were down 3 were just too much to take near the end.
