O'Brien was able to win 8 games with them, but Franklin has only been able to win 7, and after this year, the remaining recruits will all be O'Brien's & Franklin's. Strange the Cult cannot accept Paterno's Last Recruits were just not that good enough win with New Coaches, but they blame O'Brien, Franklin and Sanctions, but it was Paterno the helped cause the Sanctions that Franklin says holds him back from winning more??? The Cult ignores the Penn State 2012 Reforms that corrected the Paterno Era Football Program.
Excerpt:

'Joe would be proud:' Joe Paterno's last recruits enter final season at Penn State
Golden looks at that offer occasionally "to reflect on things," he said. It froze a moment and closed a chapter. As one of six players remaining from his recruiting class, Golden holds the distinction of being Paterno's last remaining recruit on Penn State's roster.......
Four players from the 2012 class are in the NFL, including two who left with eligibility (Jesse James and Austin Johnson). Two players were dismissed for team-rules violations, and two left for personal reasons..........
"I think it's cool that we can all say we're a Paterno recruit and we're part of that legacy," Gaia said. "But I love Coach O'Brien, and I love Coach [James] Franklin. We're always moving on."

And they are still hiding behind the sanctions, which were lifted early.

this would be a thread for the PSU board.

C'mon, you know there is a sub group of posters on this board that are only interested in talking about Penn State, some even have names that are about Penn State, isn't there a "Joe Pa Thetic"? I mean so interested in PSU he made his handle a slam on their dead coach, lol.

So, your argument is sanctions ended, and everything went right back to normal? Okay, got it. Sometimes it actually helps to understand situations before commenting. The team is still not at full scholarships because only 25 can be signed every year. But sanctions ended and all went to normal immediately. Got it. SMDH.

The team is at a full 85 now so buzz off.

Really? Do you want to check your numbers? You're wrong. You don't have facts. The team is at 82. Furthermore, I'm going nowhere. Unlike you, I'm a premium member here. Next time bring your A game, or a factual game. You want to discuss, that's fine. Don't try to spew your b.s. that simply isnt true.

WOW. A big bad premium member? You mean like I have been since this site started in 2001? Not having those last three guys on ship doesn't mean it's the sanctions. Pitt only had 83 till they gave out 2 to walk ons today. My main point is using the 5 year old sanctions that were lifted early is no longer an excuse.

Discussion over little man.

5 years really? You said, 85. Wrong. What year did sanctions start? 5 years ago really? And back to the real issue that every expert agrees with, no one gets over it next day. 2012 is when they started. What year is it? Try some facts next time. You can spew anything you want, I don't care. But don't think your ignorance will go unchallenged.

Let me give you a little thing to think about regarding your logic. Bush left in a deprsession. OBAMA took over. So by your logic, depression over. Right? Keep trying. Next time bring real facts that actually matter.

This article honestly isn't very good --- the truth is NONE of these kids "committed" to Joe Paterno.

Verbal "commitments" are pretty meaningless in college football today --- on both sides. What matters is both parties signing that actual letter.

Joe Paterno was already dead (and obviously not the Head Coach) by the time they signed their LOI in February 2012. These players all committed to Bill O'Brien.

The author wanted to make the article about JoePa, I guess.

Yes, yes, yes.....more important PSU news for the board....Keep it coming Sage!
You are welcome anything to keep you educated so you can learn too!

Anytime we see the whiners we know how much you guys don't know and QuitCallingMeWhining you are the Best at it!

I ask you guys to pull your Hissy Fits Panties up, but that would be an insult to Women that post far more football here on the Lair than you few viewers that think you can determine subject on Non-Football and then Whine about it?

If students toddlers can used to Transjenner Bathrooms and ignore the few roars so can you all too, that get confused Pitt is playing Penn State in 11 days. Men & Women post Football here post if it upsets you whimper among yourself in your little club house and ignore adults that are postings.
