Seriously,
No buzz, no excitement, no anticipation. Very little local attention and none rationally.
One of the greatest rivalries in CFB has become nothing more than another OOC game.
Let's just be done with this. Kick their ass tomorrow and never look back.
Hello sunshine!
Where has this board gone to? It pisses me off to be honest. The same fans in here that still preach about 13-9 were probably going blowing that game off too because of Pitt record that year. Fake fans. Have some damn hope. Can we get blown out? Damn right, but we can also go down into CFB lore tomorrow and beat those asses who talk down to us like we mean no good. I am going tomorrow and will be screaming my head off for the panthers while we have olds in here bragging that its not even on their radar. Fake fans like you read about. Imagine posting on a teams football message board, during your free time, yet not watching or supporting the team. Honestly, fans like that, just leave. But when we possibly upset these guys tomorrow. Don't jump back on the bandwagon, i will remember who you are and will call your butt out every time you post. Now on to University Park. HAIL TO PITT!
tell that to Iowa-Iowa State
Do you seriously believe Iowa fans would choose beating Iowa State over winning the Big Ten and going to the Rose Bowl?
Where did I say that? Making a pretty big inference that's not there. Get a clue
Point is it used to be that these rivalry games are the most important game on your schedule. The makeup of several of these mega conferences has significantly diminished the importance of several of these old school rivalry games. Clemson and South Carolina and Pitt and PSU and Iowa and Iowa State and Pitt and WVU all should be in the same conference

Yep. I've already made plans to get a few things done around the house and use this game as background noise. I'm 100 times less excited for this than I was for the season opener, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm turning it off completely by halftime or the end of the third quarter.
2016 was the only year it really may have meant something for one of the schools.Honestly with Pitt and PSU in different conferences this game means nothing. And playing at the beginning of the season makes it even worse
It's sad, but Pitt has buried itself as a D1 football program the last 35 years, they are no more relevant than Temple or Rutgers. everyone expects the powerhouse/blue blood, Penn State to roll big, Pitt has no respect or expectations nationwide, sorry, it's true. I'll DVR the game, my daughter is playing in a D3 women's soccer game at 1:30, that game has way more BUZZ for me, I'll be there, LOL

But bragging rights just feel the most intense in college football compared to any of the other sports to me at least.
I'll be working around the house while the game is on. I've been out-of-town all week and that's the only chance I have to get some work done.
There isn't much hype because except for maybe some child rape lovers in the cow pasture in central PA and wherever their alumni are, no one else really cares all that much about the game. Some Pitt fans care, but we all know it means very little to nothing now. My attitude is no matter the score, we win because we aren't them. That's something to be thankful for.
That’s me. I’m married so we do stuff later. I’m older and wins don’t get me as up and losses don’t drag me down .The last decade or so, I rarely watch any Pitt NOON games live unless I attend, I live in Baltimore, NOBODY cares about the Pitt score in Baltimore, if I stay off social media, I can even walk around Baltimore all day wearing a Pitt jersey and nobody will mention the game or the score, so I eat dinner, turn on the game around 6-7 pm have a few beers and enjoy it. At noon, I hate games that early, kind of ruins the day, unless you go, even then it's not enjoyable at that time, you come of there thinking "what now?".... AND THANKS.

I don't think there's much hype because few think the game will be competitive and Penn State fans pretend this game to playing Northeastern State and constantly remind us they don't need or want Pitt on the schedule even though it will be the second highest ticket prices and attended game of the year outside of Michigan.
Using child rape victims to soothe the pain of losing to your in state rival. How pitthetic.
Idk, this at least is the 100th meeting and there’s been talks about the history since it’s likely the last. I think last year was by far the least amount of hype. It was a nationally televised prime time game that was barely even mentioned locally let alone nationally.
