Sam Werner reported that during spring camp, players mentioned to PN that some of the pants were uncomfortable; that, in conjunction with the lack of gold pants this season, has lead people on Twitter to reach the conclusion that they were referring to the gold pants. But the question is, why are the gold pants uncomfortable? I understand how stripping could affect the fit of pants, because more cloth/seams = more constriction, but all of the pants have the same stripping pattern. So how could only the gold pants be uncomfortable? Are they a different material? These are important questions.

More importantly, how could the poor construction have not come up during the vetting process?

These things are not done overnight or haphazardly. That should've been quickly identified and rectified well before last season – much less this season too.

Terrible job by whoever is in charge of that aspect of the operation.
