Georgia Tech has been steadily getting better. They will be a tough matchup for us

I agree that we must win our home game vs Syracuse, and a win @ ND would be a definite boost. I'm not feeling overly confident about beating the Yellow Jackets, but we have a few games between to see

As others have said, if Pitt were to be a candidate for an at large bid to the NCAAT (or be one of the teams that plays-in @ Dayton) they'll need to win out (or maybe have 1 loss) and then win two games in the ACCT

Bracket Matrix doesn’t even have Pitt on their board anymore in any projected brackets which shows you how far they have fallen. A few weeks ago even after the North Carolina win at home they were in 75-80 brackets now they aren’t even on the board. I agree they basically have to win these next 3 games with Syracuse at home, at Notre Dame next Saturday and home to Georgia Tech the following Tuesday. If they are 18-10 and 9-8 in the ACC going into Louisville they will probably at least still have a pulse when it comes to possibly still having a chance to make it to Dayton. Their NCCA tournament chances aren’t completely dead yet but they are pretty much on life support these next 3 games before the game at Louisville on March 1st.

Just win Tuesday and go from there. Winning is a result of having the right lineup and offensive flow and that has been very poor since the Louisville game. It was better yesterday but needs more improvement to support any kind of winning streak.

Well, this is because no bracketologist has us in. Can you blame them? We are obviously not very close to Team #68 right now. However, teams 69, 70, 71, etc don't have resumes much better than ours so if we finish 12-8, we are in because everyone else will lose a few. That said, extremely small chance we win 7 in a row. No need to look at the bracketologists anymore. 7-0 is the only way. Or 6-1 + 2-1.

I know we struggle at ND, but I've seen a few of their games and even with Burton back, they really aren't good. Not sure about the particular angst over that one. GT is a much better team. That is a likely loss.

GT is pretty good right now but we are 3-12 at ND and haven't won since 2016. Doesn’t it seem really likely they shoot 7 for 10 from 3 in the 1st Half and build a big lead?

We can't defend anyone. I dont think we win at ND. I mean it's not impossible but what in the entire history of Pitt basketball would suggest that THIS team....of all Pitt teams....would get the program's 4th win in South Bend since 1999. We are 14th in the ACC in defending the 3 and they are 5th in 3 Point Percentage. We will have to score 80+ because they will shoot the lights out.

You can look at this Pitt team and I guarantee no other team in college basketball this season has dropped further than Pitt has in the last 2 months or so. They started out with their net being 5 when the first rankings came out and now they are at 51 in the NET which is close to almost a complete implosion since early December. You just won’t find another team this year in all of college basketball that has completely fallen flat on their face like this Pitt team has done since the 2nd week of January.

No I don’t blame them at all. I agree they don’t deserve to be in any brackets at the moment. You can look at this Pitt team and I guarantee no other team in college basketball this season has dropped further than Pitt has in the last 2 months or so. They started out with their net being 5 when the first rankings came out and now they are at 51 in the NET which is close to almost a complete implosion since early December. You just won’t find another team this year in all of college basketball that has completely fallen flat on their face like this Pitt team has done since the 2nd week of January.

We were never that good. We have fatal flaws: rebounding and defense
