The next coach of Duquesne will be a Miller

He is a terrible coach and any NBA team hiring him would be a laughingstock.

Better than what we get by a landslide but let emotions control reality

302-109 record (150-68 mark in the Pac-12)
- 3-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year
- 13 NBA Draft picks
- 7 NCAA Tournament appearances
- 5 Pac-12 titles
- 5 Sweet Sixteens
- 3 Elite Eights

He will end up with better gigs than our last 3 plus coaches if he is so bad! I hate defending him but this hate towards him is almost psychological here

Perennial underachiever. The fact that he had such good recruiting classes and never made a final four is laughable. He’s a good cheater. That’s it.

Actually the way that some people love a guy who screwed us over when he was an assistant here and whose father actively tried to screw the program over literally over the course of a couple decades and who still bad mouths the school to this very day is what is psychological.

What’s the story with John Miller’s strong dislike towards Pitt?

What’s the story with John Miller’s strong dislike towards Pitt?

It goes back the when Sean left here as an assistant. I don't know, but I always assumed that he thought that Pitt did something wrong when his son screwed Pitt, and he's badmouthed the school ever since.

Including when SMF says that his son had agreed to take the head job here. Which at some level would have been hilarious, to have the father saying that Pitt wasn't good enough for either of his two sons literally minutes before word would have gotten out that one of his son's agreed to become Pitt's head coach.

I hope not, unless that means Dambrot does so good there that he gets hired by a P5 school. I want him to succeed at Duquesne, hope it works out there.

I don’t know the full story but didn’t John Miller think he deserved the Pitt head job at some point? So when he saw the opportunity to stick it to Pitt he had his little puppets act on it?
I hate when guys who think they should be college coaches, get passed over and then get salty and then embarrass themselves because their vendetta is so blatant, sad and obvious.

Pick an SEC school that will be desperate in a year or two. That’s a more likely scenario for Miller.

You have the timeline wrong. John Miller's comments were after Dixon left. Sean wanted the job after Stallings left.

I think all hate would be considered psychological. But some Pitt fans are psychotic.

Miller would have taken the job last time , Heather got cold feet, we shall see if her pick turns out to be a good one , time is running out though

I said years ago when Huggins was let go from Cincinnati that Duquesne should have hired him. He was obviously friends with JO Stright, and spent time in Pittsburgh. It was the only way, the only way a Duquesne would be relevant.

So the Miller brothers would be along these lines for Duquesne. I think Dambrot is a good coach, he just can't get the players.

Sounds like another coach minus the good coach part

Duquesne isn't that far removed from running athletics like a Class 2A Boys Catholic HS program. They seem to have tacked in the right direction now with the AD and Damrot. Sean Miller would never be Duquesne's cup of tea. And vice versa. Ol Sean is likelier to land at some backwater program west of the Mississippi.
