i like to look at the season broken down. I think over the first 4 games Pitt has met almost everyone's expectations. I think the UVa game will be our biggest game so far. There should be a very good crowd and Pitt is gaining some attention locally and nationally. Virginia has played a tough schedule but they are a team we should beat. I think the offense is going to need to start to improve this week. I also think if the offense can start to capitalize on field position and turnovers that Pitt could have a special season.
If Pitt can overcome the history of let downs in big home games and win then you have a big road test at GA tech where The Pitt defense should matchup well with the big boys inside causing ga tech to have to run outside.
Finally for this next three game set you have the second to last road game against a Syracuae team who looks improved but who Pitt should beat. The game is in the Carrier dome but Pitt has played better there lately.
If Pitt can win the Virginia game and do no worse than a split on the road then they should be coming home to a huge crowd to play UNC for the lead in the Coastal. This is Pitt so looking ahead is dangerous but hopefully Narduzzi/Conklin can keep the defense improving while Chaney gets a better feel for the offense.
