typically they sell around 10K tickets, but 90% of students don't buy until they arrive on campus a week before the season starts so it is tough to predict. How many students make this section(s) up?
I think students should basically get in for free. They pay a ton for tuition, and in the fees for tuition is usually payments to help fund the athletic teams.
I also think most undergrad students that live on campus go to at least half the home games.
9300 I believe.
In a smaller stadium where there is more of a demand for tickets, it should be around 5000 tickets at $75 or so each. As it is, we basically give these tickets away for free. Most students only go to 1 or 2 games.
We paid an activities fee of $25 per semester. A section of the invoice was detached with a numbered boarder. That "card" was presented with you student ID. The number corresponding to that event (football game, concert etc) was punched and that was your ticket. A great system. When did they start charging for the student tickets? I graduated in 76 and there was no charge then...just showed your ID.

I started in 1981 and we paid $25 for our annual student ticket. The price hasn't changed in $35 years.
When I was a student you simply showed up with your student ID and entered the stadium. Do the current students have to have their name drawn?
10K seems like it is half the undergrad population but what if more want to go to the games?
