It was not half empty during Dixon’s latter years . Either you have a bad memory or you are simply making things up. ACC games had around 9-10k. The Duke game during his last year was almost full.
Save the hyperbole. DT was in attendance for almost every home game. The large majority of non conference games were half full. Yes - there were a few outliers. The large majority of conference games were well attended, especially on the weekends.I'm talking about real vs actual. Also, not sure why you'd bring up the Duke game. That sold out for 0-18 and will this year too.
I would say, that yes, there were a few ACC games which would draw a legit 9K-10K, most were half capacity. And the cupcakes were at 25% capacity. I remember a Sunday afternoon game vs Morehead State in a year I dropped my season tickets to Stubhub it, I got uppers for $2/each from one of the other sites, Vivid maybe. I attempted to count the people there but I stopped. There's no way it was over 2000.
Was any trend evident or had it reached and stayed at the same level?Save the hyperbole. DT was in attendance for almost every home game. The large majority of non conference games were half full. The Duke game had about 7-8k in the seats during 0/18.I'm talking about real vs actual. Also, not sure why you'd bring up the Duke game. That sold out for 0-18 and will this year too.

I have missed three games total since the Pete was opened.Save the hyperbole. DT was in attendance for almost every home game. The large majority of non conference games were half full. Also - I recall that Morehead State game well as I bumped into someone I know who invited me to join his in corporate box. The Pete was half full that game. I am 100% certain of this and that your estimate of 2k is absurd.I'm talking about real vs actual. Also, not sure why you'd bring up the Duke game. That sold out for 0-18 and will this year too.

As a die hard, someone that is still attending, do you want a change of Head Coach? My read . Attendance has been disappointing and the die hard left like myself are at a cross roads . We will probably re up but attendance has been a chore. That said let’s win this one
Not sure pulling the plug comes with a real cost and I’m not sure tepper. Lol will write that check .As a die hard, someone that is still attending, do you want a change of Head Coach?
Thanks for the response. Not sure pulling the plug comes with a real cost and I’m not sure tepper. Lol will write that check .
This is like an SMF post, I always find it funny how people THINK REALLY HARD about how it "looks" on TV, ALL I CAN SEE is the game and never notice anything else, of course I notice sometimes when the crowd is small, but right now the basketball program DESERVES poor support.Speaking of the Pete, I hate how it looks on TV. Forget the fans. Just from a camera view and lighting. The camera sits up higher ever since they switched sides. The lighting around the court and into the stands is dark. Almost like an NBA atmosphere. Then, when the zoo is there, they can't stand behind the away team's bench. It's just an open column or two of seating. Looks horrible.
they botched the TV view for this arena. should've kept the benches where they were and just move the camera. The zoo not filling the whole way around looks insanely dumb.

May you Rest In Peace.I would bet my life there wasnt 2K. I actually started counting. There werent more than 100 people in the upper deck. I was 1 of them. I think I got to 700-1000 and decided to stop but NO WAY there was more than 2000. No way.
May you Rest In Peace.
I’ve forgotten nothing. You forget that for most of Dixon II, they let the upper deck folks move to the lower level. Many games, there were just a few people in the upper deck. Then throw in some games where the students are out and you have really bad crowds. What does the upper deck hold: 4500? So if no one is up there, a half empty lower bowl is only 4000 and some games were less than that.
Indeed… allow me to clarify. I’ve forgotten nothing when it comes to this debate, anyway.I know I never forget anything![]()
