I asked in another thread who your first overall pick would be, but I think this question merits its own thread:
If you were drafting for the spring game, who would be the first defensive player you would draft? I think everyone would probably start with offense in the first few rounds, but when would you feel like it's time to go for a defensive player, and who would it be?
I'm torn on this one, since no one really jumps out. Nicholas Grigsby would probably be the first defender I would draft, but like a closer in fantasy baseball - or any pitcher, really - I'm not jumping too early, and I imagine my opponent would probably draft Grigsby before I was ready to take a defensive player (especially if I focus on the OL to start my draft).
So who else, then? Avonte Maddox? Rori Blair? Reggie Mitchell? Who's the first defensive player you would draft?
